William Pedrick - Managing Director, Zapkam Limited: Zapkam was originally founded by Managing Director William Pedrick, with the aim to provide High Quality Sports Wear for Footballers, at a fair price.
William founded the company as a result of buying a pair of Goalkeeper Gloves for over £50.00, which used up all of his Birthday money at 9 years old. "We pride ourselves at Zapkam on listening to our customer's feedback. We feel that this year's range meets our customer's needs better than ever."
Many brands claim to listen to their customers, but at Zapkam, we really do listen. By filling in our questionnaires during the year, you helped by giving us some great ideas. Your ideas were used by Zapkam to improve our previous product ranges - and to even release some new products. If you look at your login area on the website, there are continuous developments and improvements being made to the website. Quite a few of the ideas that you gave us from the questionnaires have now been implemented, for instance you can now track when you order has been dispatched - and its tracking number if applicable. Thank you to everyone who took the time to send us your feedback. We really appreciate it. Matt Gregg - Zapkam Ireland:
After just a few short months, Matt was given his first team debut as the youngest player to play for Torquay United, against Wigan Athletic. Matt then signed professionally for Torquay at eighteen, and become their immediate first team keeper, playing all season. In his first season as a professional he played in the play off finals at Wembley Stadium against Colchester United. Even though Torquay got beat 1-0, Matt started getting rave reviews and started to attract the interest of bigger clubs.
The following season ex England manager Terry Venables , signed Matt for Crystal Palace for £400,000. Matt's most memorable moment in the three years at Crystal palace was playing in the semi final against Liverpool at Anfield in the Coca Cola Cup.
Chris Day - Goalkeeper, Stevenage Football Club: As an experienced Professional Goalkeeper, I have learnt that it is essential to wear a product that you trust. To achieve the best performance, I find that I need to trust and have belief in the product I am wearing. Further more I would not endorse Zapkam products if I did not believe in the products or agree with the ethics behind the business.
